Ending violence against BME women and girls
BME women and girls are too often an after-thought in work to tackle violence. The Westminster Government is publishing an action plan on VAWG soon and EVAW has joined up with Southall Black Sisters to call on governments and public bodies to ensure:
- funding of BME women's services
- public awareness campaigns & work in schools to change attitudes
- reform of discriminatory laws that put women's safety at risk
